My path

I'm Lucie Benoit, a coach and independent consultant working on transitions, through coaching and training.

My path hasn't been linear. It's taken me from Master’s research in Environmental Engineering to field missions with local communities in Thailand, from harvesting wild plants for starred restaurants to creating teaching curricula, from Southeast Asia to the Gulf of Morbihan in France. Along the way, I completed my RNCP 6 coach training and certification, because I kept noticing the same thing: people don't get stuck for lack of information or lack of motivation. They get stuck between identities, in the space between an ending and a new beginning, and that space needs support, not more advice.

What runs through all of it is the same approach: making something dense or overwhelming concrete enough to act on. That's what I bring to this work. Whether your transition is personal, professional, or about wanting your life to carry more impact in the world, I don't hand you a ready-made answer. I help you build your own with care and method, and I stay with you while you act on it.

Change, transition & impact

A change is a fact: a new job, a new city, a new cause. A transition is what happens inside you on the way there. Skip that part, and the change doesn't stick or feel forced and uncomfortable.

Real change is generative. It's not just adjustment or damage control, it's the realization of a new potential, new ways of thinking and behaving that weren't available to you before.

This kind of change doesn't come from willpower alone. It comes from a new reading of reality, a shift in how you actually see your situation, not just a new plan layered on top of the old view.

That shift starts with opening your eyes to your own life: being willing to examine your beliefs, and letting new information in. The information we use to make our "best" decisions always feels objective to us: we see the world as we are, even at our most objective. That's not a flaw to fix, it's simply the starting point. Once you can see it clearly, you can start making new decisions aligned with your goals and values.

That's the work I do with you.

"In fact, nothing is ever set in stone, everything can be replayed if needed. That is precisely where humanity's true space of freedom and responsibility lies."

My approach

There's more than one way to do coaching. Coaching often gets pictured as motivation talk, business mentoring, therapy, or in the worst case someone handing out generic advice.

My approach is none of that. It's opening a safe space where we look at your life from a different angle, and bring attention to what you've stopped looking at. Together, we work to dismantle limiting beliefs, build new behaviors in their place. You now have the tools to take aligned decisions and the confidence and resources to put them into action.

To do that work, we draw on several dimensions at once: your needs, your beliefs, your emotions, your values, your actual behavior, your sense of identity, your recurring thought patterns, the resources you already have but underuse, what your body is telling you, and the relationships and environment around you.

I use these not as abstract categories, but as ways to actually understand what's going on, weigh what matters, and work through it with you, piece by piece.

I also draw on scientifically informed methodology, including tools from effective altruism, to help you think clearly about your options.

But methodology alone doesn't create change. Powerful tools are embedded into empathy, care, non-judgment and even your own intuition about the situation. What interests me isn't the framework for its own sake, it's using it in service of something more personal: supporting you on the path toward a life aligned with who you really are and your own ecology.

Not everyone who comes to this work is looking to increase their impact on the world, and that's fine. For those who are, I offer ways to craft your options, then assess them together, questioning and weighing them against criteria of impact.

This approach isn't abstract to me. After a thorough look at my own skills and where I could be most useful, coaching and training are what I found to be the most effective way to increase my own positive impact on the world. This is that choice, put into practice.
