FAQ
Therapy often explores the past to understand a source of suffering or a pattern. My work is focused on the present and the future: clarifying where you are, distinguishing what needs to change from what simply needs adjusting, and moving toward concrete action. It's not a form of care, it's support toward action. That said, deeper topics sometimes surface in session, which is normal, but it isn't my role to treat them as such: if needed, I can refer you to a more suitable professional.
Both are fine. Some people come with a precise goal, others with a vaguer sense that something needs to change. Clarifying that goal is part of the coaching work itself.
This isn't decided in advance. The number of sessions and their frequency are determined during the first session, based on your situation, and adjusted along the way as needed.
This varies from person to person, but many people feel a first shift within the first 2-3 sessions: new clarity, a first action taken. Deeper changes usually build over several weeks to several months, through ongoing experimentation.
Both are possible. Most sessions take place over video call, which allows us to work together wherever you are. An in-person format can be considered depending on your location.
Yes. Effective altruism is one tool among others, not a prerequisite. What matters is clarifying what's meaningful to you, according to your own values.
Yes. Most of my work is about life transitions in the broadest sense. Impact is just one dimension among others, never a required starting point.
I witnessed, in my teaching and among my colleagues, major changes happening in people's lives, and I felt helpless to understand or support them through it. I first learned coaching to bring good instincts into my core work. But I became so passionate about it, and saw its effectiveness so clearly, that I decided to transition into a coaching career.
